Thousand Oaks, Calif. – According to social media reports, Louise A. Kelly, an associate professor at California Lutheran University, has threatened to kill former President and current Republican nominee for President Donald Trump.
In the wake of Saturday’s attempted assassination, Kelly took to Facebook commenting on a Fox News post: “I hope next time they don’t miss and I really hope this isn’t the last time too. I would love to do it myself if I wasn’t so far away.”
This morning, Ventura County Republican Party Chairman John Andersen has sent a letter to John Nunes, President of California Lutheran University, calling on him to terminate Kelly’s employment immediately.
Andersen wrote, “Apparently, Professor Kelly failed to hear the requests from leaders on both sides of our nation’s political debate to turn down the rhetoric.”
“I am appalled and outraged that a professor at one of the universities here in Ventura County would write such words following the events of Saturday afternoon,” he continued.
In calling for her termination, Andersen added, “Not only did the events of Saturday afternoon nearly kill the Republican nominee for President, we have seen another deranged individual, who also lived in our area, attempt to carry out an assassination plot against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Political violence needs to stop.
“We simply cannot have someone like Professor Kelly indoctrinating the young minds who attend Cal Lutheran with the intention of learning,
“As a result of this, As a result of this, it is imperative that CLU terminate Louise Kelly’s employment immediately.”
